The Art Cleveland Play Therapy Endowment: Perpetuating a Legacy of Caring for Children

FSU Forges Partnership with East China University of Science and Technology

Florida State University recently met with a delegation from East China University of Science and Technology in an effort to forge a relationship for future research collaboration and student exchanges.

The partnership was initiated by FSU College of Social Work Dean Jim Clark and Professor Amy Ai, who have extensive experience with Chinese scholars in health, trauma and social work.

Student Highlight: Garnet and Gold Scholar Maicie Ramirez

FSU College of Social Work to Launch Re-entry Initiative with $1M Grant

Florida State University’s College of Social Work will launch an unprecedented research initiative this spring focusing on the re-entry of incarcerated persons into communities.

The initiative will be led by FSU’s new faculty hire, Carrie Pettus-Davis, one of social work’s leading experts in criminal justice and the decarceration of American prisons and jails through policy reform and service innovations.

New Grant Funds Training on Human Trafficking for Emergency Medical Services

Student Highlight: Garnet & Gold Scholars Scholar Kimberly Clarke

While on the lookout for an honors program at FSU, Kimberly found that Garnet and Gold Scholars, which supported her personal values of scholarship, service, and leadership. The program welcomed 53 new members in December and facilitates student involvement in the areas of international, internship, leadership, research and service engagement.

Adrienne Capeless: Creating Connection Through Food and Memories
